A pair of early Thonet chairs made by S and L in the 1940's Sautto and Liberale was founded in Naples and became a leader of bentwood furniture in the Thonet style in Italy. The design of the chair dates back to 1900's They are still in their original condition, with the original caning and without any sign of insect damage. They still have the original label from the era. S and L They have a lovely patina.. The caning is still in an excellent unrestored condition. Lightweight with rigid joints.
