Carved Ceramic Vase

This vase was made in the 1960s by the West German firm Scheurich and has the typical green glaze on the inside. The decoration is made from the semi-dry clay before being fired in deep cuts. A typical decoration of this period. What makes this one special is that the glaze finish was applied to resemble wood. Each one is unique and has all the hallmarks of mid-century design. These German ceramics have become very collectible recently. This one is in excellent condition with no damage.
