Italian Set of Drawers from La Permanente 1950's
This is a bespoke piece of furniture made by the Italian artisans of Cantu'. A beautifully crafted piece made from cherry-wood and bearing all the hallmarks of Paulo Buffa who designed individual pieces that were made by one of the best producers of quality furniture in Italy. Paulo Buffa liked to use prestigious woods, such as the cherry wood in this piece, he was able to design elaborate but elegant features due to the skill of the La Permanente carpenters. In this set of drawers, he uses his signature style with the solid brass fan-shaped handles, the delicate brass feet and the clever hand-carved edges. This is a beautifully preserved piece of furniture, still having its original brass key with a matching fan motive with all the locks still operational. The same key locks all the drawers.
