Fratelli Fanciullacci
Fanciullacci Mid Century Dish
Fanciullacci Mid Century Dish
This bowl is typical of the ceramics made by the Fanciullacci Brothers in Italy. It is recognizable by its distinctive, slightly wavy, and soft matte glaze, as well as the trademark and number on the base. The firm was well known for its individual designs, obviously influenced by abstract artists such as Picasso and Mondrian. This beautiful example is a modern still life in the style of Matisse, made c. 1960.
