Mid Century Bowl

This bowl is typical of the ceramics made by the Fanciullacci Brothers in Italy. Recognisable by the distinctive, slightly wavy and soft matt glaze, as well as the mark and number on the base. The firm was well known for its individual designs, obviously influenced by abstract artists such as Picasso and Mondrian. This beautiful example is a modern still life in the style of Matisse made c. 1960
