This is a beautiful example of the first series of amber cloud glass designed and made by the Englishman George Davidson. He developed this type of pressed glass with swirls of different colours in 1923, and it became known as cloud glass. This bowl was made around 1930 and features in his first catalogue. Queen Elizabeth 11 was known to be a collector of Davidson Cloudware glass, adding to the desirability of the glass at that time. This piece is in perfect condition.
