Coralle Cadiz Suspension lamp by Rausch

This spectacular ball shaped pendant lamp is made from "cadiz" shell. A product from the Philippines that was popular in the 1960's. The individual petals are thin pieces of pearl shell edged in metal. A truly handcrafted piece.. An ideal focal point to complement a modern interior in trendy coral tones. There is a small petal "door" on the bottom to access the bulb. Takes up to 100 watts. The maker is a German company called Rausch and is believed to be inspired by Verner Panton's shell lamp designs of the period.
