This spectacular ball-shaped pendant lamp is made of "cadiz" shell . A product from the Philippines popular in the 1960s . The individual petals are thin pieces of pearly shell edged in metal. A real handcrafted piece. The effect, when illuminated, transforms the silver gray of the lamp petals into a splendid palette of browns, greys and cream. Ideal focal point to complete a modern interior of trendy tones. The creator is a German company called Rausch and is believed to be inspired by Verner Panton's shell lamp designs from that period. It has strong steel wire to support it from the ceiling and about 1 meter of cable. up to 100 watts E 27 bulb.
