Isamu Noguchi Coffee Table by Henry Miller
An iconic coffee table designed by Isamu Noguchi, First designed in 1947, an intelligent design that allows the whole piece to be flat-packed. The legs are beautifully crafted from walnut wood they show some age-related small signs of use. The stainless steel pin design that allows the legs to rotate indicates that this table was the N-50 series made in the 60s-70s. In 1965 Henry Miller reduced the glass from 87mm to the 75mm size of this glass top and the height for mass production. In 1973, the thicker glass was then reintroduced with a signature. The shape of these legs is rounded and smooth and well crafted, unlike the modern version of Vitra that has a squarer profile and looks heavier and more mass- produced.
height 40 cm.
