This science fiction object was designed by Phillipe Stark, a French designer for the Italian company Alessi c 1990. His product is made of die-cast aluminum to squeeze citrus fruits. This product has been hailed as a mass product of the 20th century that defined the shift from the priority of the consumer being one of the needs to one of the wants. It is found in many design museums around the world.
