The white tubular metal arm is expandable and the brass join means you can angle the shade as well .It has a heavy brass and white enamel covering and a rubber base to protect the floor. Although there are a few scratches to the white enamel on the base ,overall in a good condition and works perfectly .It takes a large screw in light bulb.
